CJ McLoone's features cutting-edge American casual dining for lunch and dinner seven days a week. A separate dining room from the pub allows guests to enjoy themselves in an intimate setting. Another feature is the "Loft" on the second floor which is ideal for private parties and, at a height of over thirty feet, has even more incredible views of both the Shrewsbury River and the Atlantic Ocean to the east. The menu, by executive chef Charles Collins, features inventive takes on seafood including a "Taco Bar," hence the title "Whale". However, it also includes a wide selection of meat presentations, or "Iron".
The Robinson Ale House Asbury Park
There are five bedrooms, including the master suite, which has a double-door entry, a sitting room with a fireplace, a sauna, and a veranda overlooking the grounds. The 1.5-acre property is a serene oasis with meandering stone paths, manicured gardens, a pool, a guesthouse, and a covered dining pavilion. Located right in the heart of Pier Village, McLoone's Pier House has become a favorite of both Jersey Shore visitors and locals alike since opening in spring 2005. McLoone's Pier House has become the place for weddings, parties, entertainment and scrumptious indoor and outdoor dining due to its breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean and delicious cuisine.

I started my service industry journey as an expo in one of my hometown restaurants, (Simi Valley, CA). From there I went on to several other restaurants in Ventura County, then after 9 years, I made my way to the Los Angeles Area where I have spent the last 8 years working. My time and experience working for other people led to a ton of gray hair and a relationship between the three partners. I was fortunate to realize that goal with my previous employer and his nephew. This neighborhood spot on Pico is generally crowded on weekends, when it’s full of people playing board games, darts, and arcade games upstairs.

The Robinson Ale House in Pier Village, Long Branch is the third "Robinson's" location, joining the original in Red Bank and the second in Asbury Park. Named after the family of Beth Robinson McLoone (Tim's wife), it features the same upscale-yet-still-casual "pub food" that has made Robinson's so popular. Our Pier Village location is adjacent to the fabulous Long Branch boardwalk on the Atlantic Ocean.

BrewCo in Manhattan Beach is as good of a neighborhood beer bar/casual restaurant as you’ll probably ever find. Of course, it would not be a McLoone venture without live music and there is a brand new piano bar located next to a roaring fireplace. Tim McLoone and his investment group purchased the Rum Runner on New Year's Eve in 1986 and reopened it the following October as "McLoone's Rum Runner". It was immediately known for its spectacular views, terrific cuisine, and live music. Twenty-Five years later Superstorm Sandy devastated not only the Rum Runner but also a significant portion of Sea Bright.
With its Asbury Park Boardwalk location, outdoor ocean view dining is a strong feature of the Iron Whale. Indoors features an open kitchen, a fireplace, and a private meeting or party room. The Iron Whale is another exciting addition to the already resurgent Asbury Park scene and is open seven days a week for brunch, lunch and dinner year-round.

The Robinson Ale House, located in downtown Red Bank, feels like it has been here for decades. With a design inspired by pubs and eateries of 1930's and 40's, Robinson's offers American fare and compliments it with a large craft beer selection, fine wines and a full bar. It took over three years to complete the new building but the results are even more spectacular than the original. Aside from its main waterview dining room it also features "South", an indoor-outdoor room with moveable doors which creates an airy ambiance along with "upscale/casual" dining.

Founders Ale House is a product of countless hours of running food, serving tables, bartending and everything in between. I vividly remember sitting in the red leather booths drawing on server pads pretending to wait tables. Although growing up I said I wanted to be a “Honda Salesman” I think Restaurant Owner was already in my blood. This Colonial estate has quite the past, and not just because it was once the home of legendary musician Smokey Robinson. Originally built in 1882 in downtown Los Angeles, it was moved to its current Encino location in the 1920s. Beyond the manicured front hedges, the home’s elegant façade features grand columns, shuttered windows, and a balcony. Inside, many exquisite details remain, including original moldings and wainscoting. There’s a formal dining room with French doors that open onto a terrace, a living room with a fireplace, a window-lined sunroom, and an expansive kitchen with a breakfast bar and dining nook.
